This International Women’s Day, March 8, the 100 Club of Buffalo proudly honors the women serving in law enforcement, fire services, EMS, and EMT roles across Western New York. Their skill, leadership, and dedication are essential to keeping our communities safe every day.
Women first responders contribute across every aspect of their professions, from patrol and investigations to firefighting, rescue operations, and emergency medical care. Their work strengthens departments, enhances public safety, and demonstrates that women play a vital role in shaping the future of emergency services.
A shining example of this leadership is Major Amie P. Feroleto, who was appointed last year as the first female commander of Troop A of the New York State Police, which serves the Western New York region. With over 20 years of service, Major Feroleto’s promotion highlights the important contributions of women in law enforcement and serves as an inspiring example for officers across the state.
At the 100 Club of Buffalo, we are proud to support all first responders and their families. Through memberships, contributions, and community programs, we help ensure that those who serve, both men and women, have the resources, support, and recognition they deserve. Major Feroleto’s historic appointment is a reminder of the exceptional leadership women bring to public safety every day.
